General Labour- Summer Position
Position Overview & General Accountability: Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the position is responsible for performing basic general labour tasks within a food manufacturing and packaging environment.
Start Date: Students must be available to work from late April or early May up to and including the September Labour Day weekend. Students must meet the same requirements and go through the same hiring process as all applicants to Wing's. Students who have worked at Wing's previously and met the performance requirements of the job will be eligible for re-hire.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Reporting any equipment problems in a timely manner
Integrating all quality, safety and security policies and guidelines into all day to day activities
All other work as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader
Performing general labour duties as assigned including but not limited to:
-checking products and packaging for basic quality defects
-general housekeeping, janitorial, and cleaning tasks
-stacking, packing, taping and palletizing of cases
-assembling product packaging for "in-process" products (stickers, spouts, neck tags etc)
Qualifications & Experience:
-Completion of High School preferred
-Work experience in Food Manufacturing, Warehousing or a general labour position is an asset
Physical Demands/Health and Safety/Physical Requirements
-Repetitive tasks & standing for extended periods
-Handling/Lifting medium heavy loads (up to 23 kg/50 lbs)
-Reaching waist height, shoulder height & above shoulder level on a frequent basis
-Gripping and handling on a frequent to constant basis

Salary: $10.25/hr
