Full Time General Labourer Position

Location: Torlake 

Position Overview & General Accountability:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this entry level position is responsible for performing basic general labour tasks within a food manufacturing and packaging environment.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Performing general labour duties as assigned including but not limited to:

·         Checking products and packaging for basic quality defects

·         General housekeeping and cleaning

·         Stacking, packing, taping and palletizing of cases

·         Assembling products packaging for "in-process" products (stickers, spouts, neck tags, etc)

·         Assembling trays and boxes

·         Cleaning and other janitorial activities as assigned

·         Reporting any equipment problems in a timely & customer oriented manner

·         Integrating all plant, quality, safety and security policies and guidelines into all day to day activities on the job.

·         All other work as assigned by duly authorized Supervisor or Team Leader.

Qualifications & Experience:

·         Completion of High School

·         Post Secondary Education an asset

·         Work experience in Food Manufacturing an asset

Skills, Experience, and Ability to:

·         Follow verbal and written instructions related to duties

·         Work in a team environment with continuous improvement efforts

·         Follow all proper maintence, sanitation and Health & safety protocols at all times

·         Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and general housekeeping

·         Acquire new skills as per training provided

·         Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors as a Quality Focused, Service Oriented Team Player
