Who We Are

Wing’s is a family-owned Canadian business that was founded in Toronto in 1953 with the goal of supplying oriental noodles to Asian restaurants. Since then, Wing’s has expanded to include a full range of ethnic products including fortune cookies, sauces, fresh and dry noodles, and wonton and egg roll wraps. Our extensive line of products includes Kosher and Vegan options.

Wing’s has state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Toronto and Edmonton. Wing’s values food safety, and we are proud to announce our certifications. Both manufacturing facilities are BRCGS certified facilities, and are licenced under the CFIA Safe Food for Canadians Act.

Our Story

Our founder, Kenneth Lee was born in Montreal and grew up working in his father’s noodle factory. In 1953, to meet a growing demand for Chinese food, he moved to Toronto and started Wing’s Food Products (originally known as Wing Hing Lung Ltd.) and made noodles out of a converted garage on the edge of what is now Toronto’s original Chinatown. Ken was joined a few years later by his brother Howard, and together they began to diversify the business, expanding into single serve soy sauce and plum sauce for the Chinese Restaurant Trade.

In 1976, Wing’s expanded operations to Western Canada, establishing a manufacturing plant in Edmonton. With facilities in both Toronto and Edmonton, Wing’s expanded its production capacity to supply nationally across Canada.

The taste of the Canadian marketplace has changed considerably since Wing’s first began over 60 years ago. Asian foods have been sought after by many multicultural consumers in Retail, Food Service and Manufacturing Industries. To meet this growing demand, Wing’s began to sell its quality products in grocery stores, making them available to the general public. Whether you’re eating chow mein from your favourite Chinese restaurant or trying homemade vegan dumplings from a new recipe, Wing’s has been The Best Kept Secret in many of your favourite Asian dishes.

Today, Wing’s line of products can be found in major grocery stores and restaurants all over the country. We’ve adapted with the times, but one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to exceptional quality and authenticity. Many of our original customers still rely on Wing’s Food Products to deliver consistent quality and leading-edge innovation.
